It has been three weeks since our wedding and people are still talking about what a great time they had that day. All the credit goes to Strangers. We have received numerous compliments about the song selection, sound quality, and over all performance of the band, including statements like, "Wow, I've never seen so many people on a dance floor all night long."

The night started with cocktail hour, during which two members of Strangers played and provided appropriate background music for the setting. After cocktail hour it was time to introduce the wedding party, and we're glad we went with the band's advice to have everyone come out to the Blues Brothers theme song. Strangers learned our first dance song for us, and it sounded great. So did the parent dances. The dinner music that followed was also very good.

Then the party really started. We got married during a July heat wave. The temperature reached 100+ that day, and unfortunately, the air conditioning units couldn't compensate. Our 290 guests were hot...very hot. But once Strangers got everyone on the dance floor with "I Gotta Feeling," people were hooked on them. The dance floor was packed all night until the very end.   Our parents were ready to pay them for an additional hour, but we already had a scheduled after party. No one wanted the night to end, as shown by the crowd chanting "one more song, one more song." Strangers delivered with the classic "Livin on a Prayer."

Strangers played a good mix of older classic wedding dance songs and newer songs. That's what we told Denny and Rick when we met with them several weeks before the wedding.  Although we checked the songs on their play list that we liked, we did not give a specific set list because we trusted the band to play to the crowd and get a feel for the night. Another good decision. The song selections were a perfect fit. They also learned John Mellencamp's "Cherry Bomb" for the father of the bride. He gave it a big two thumbs up.

We highly recommend Strangers to anyone who is looking for a wedding band that will keep the guests dancing all night.  In addition to being an incredible band, they are also very nice people to work with. Their professionalism, timely communication and kindness made for a perfect and memorable wedding reception. We look forward seeing Strangers play again at at their next public show.
