Strangers Have a Sweet Time at the Lemon Ball!

Strangers_AlexLemonBall_339RESIZED Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation held their 5th Annual Lemon Ball on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the stunning Lowes Philadelphia Hotel . The Lemon Ball is an evening of cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions and dancing, all to help continue Alex's mission of finding a cure for all childhood cancer.  This was Strangers second year performing at the Lemon Ball and we had a fabulous evening again this year. The event was attended by more than 800 guests and it seemed at one point like all 800 of them were trying to get on the dance floor!  The folks at Advanced Staging Productions once again did a magnificent job as the Technology Sponsor for the event providing audio, video, lighting and staging for this incredible evening.  The talented Gabe Fredericks of Philip Gabriel Photography was in attendance once again this year documenting the festivities, you can see some of his wonderful work with this blog.  Special thanks to Gala Co-Chairs: Stacey & Lou Pellegrini and Liz & Jay Scott, and to all the ALSF staff for allowing Strangers to part of this truly worthwhile cause.

Montrose Mansion Wedding

On Saturday, November 13, 2010 STRANGERS performed at the wedding reception of Amanda Bullwinkle and Jason Connell held at the beautiful Montrose Mansion. It was a magnificent day and Amanda and Jason were able to take full advantage of the great outdoor spaces that the Mansion has to offer for their cocktail hour.
Amanda and Jason's only request of STRANGERS was that they dance, dance, dance the night away and we did our best to make sure that happened. This reception was WAY up there on the FUN scale and everyone had a great time.
The highlight of the evening was when (bride) Amanda joined our Amanda on stage to sing Bon Jovi's "Living On A Prayer" at the end of the evening. (Bride) Amanda was awesome and, as you can see from the photos below, the crowd went wild!!!
Here are the details –
Bride and Groom First Dance: You Are The Best Thing -- Ray LaMontagne
Bride/Father Dance: King of the World -- Point Of Grace
Groom/Mother Dance: In My Life -- The Beatles
Photographer:  Michael Hagan Photography

Black Tie for White Collars Gala

On Saturday, November 6, 2010 Strangers performed at the  Black Tie for White Collars Gala sponsored by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. The Dinner Dance and Auction was held in the Riverfront Ballroom of the  Chase Center in Wilmington, DE. The room was absolutely beautiful and the management and staff at Chase were a pleasure to work with. I also had the opportunity to meet Dick Dubroff of  DickDubroff/FinalFocus who was the photographer for the evening. As you can see from the photos below, Dick is a real pro.
This was a wonderful evening. The guests came ready to dance the night away, and we did everything we could to make sure they got what they wanted. Special thanks to Fr. Jim, Fr. Kevin and Sandy for being so kind to us, we are thrilled to be invited back again next  year.
Below are some photos courtesy of DickDubroff/FinalFocus.
