John Lionarons, a gifted multi-instrumentalist, is best known for his award winning hammered dulcimer playing, winning 4 trophies and prize dulcimers in the National Hammered Dulcimer Championships in Winfield, KS. John is also a talented singer, songwriter, theatrical composer, guitarist, fiddler, accordionist, musical director, arranger, sound designer, recording artist, and aspiring actor. His repertoire includes a great assortment of American and Celtic folksongs and original compositions mingled with humorous anecdotes about his music.

Over the past few years, John has spent an increasing amount of time writing and performing music for a many professional theater companies. He has been nominated for two Barrymore Awards, which recognize Philadelphia theater artists for excellence and innovation, for Outstanding Original Musical Score for “Beauty and the Beast” and “Pinocchio” at The Peoples Light & Theatre Company of Malvern, PA. John also performs as a duet or a trio.
