Sid:
I want to complement you, Brian, and the rest of your team on the wonderful attention and attitude everyone exhibited before and during our Wedding on 1/17/09. After having gone to a number of weddings throughout the years, Lori and I knew that we wanted ours to be special. Our method for accomplishing this was with many flourishes of personal touches, to ensure that the wedding reflected our own personalities. One of the major personal touches we dreamed out required the kind of outstanding work and help that you and the band exhibited.
When we first told you of our idea of a song and dance routine as a joke of Gershwin's "Let's call the whole thing off", instead of a first dance, you thought it was great, totally got the joke, and generally became our co-conspirator to make sure that it came off without a hitch. Well you did that and more. Not only did you take ownership in it and with your musical prowess help us make it better, but you worked with us through several conference calls and impromptu planning sessions to make sure it worked out right.
Brian was especially helpful in recording an instrumental version that we could practice to, and when the big day came, after quick practice during cocktail hour, I knew we were going to be right on time. And we were. Everyone who sends us an email, calls or sees us and talks about the wedding complements us on that first dance routine, and tells of how unexpected and funny it was. So thanks to you and the guys for such a great job in keeping nimble as we worked through that.
Of course, that wasn't the only thing. We've gotten so many complements on you guys, it was definitely the right decision to chose your band. My personal favorite reason why is the behind-the-joke sound gags you played when the MOH and Best Man made a joke in their speeches; or even better, when Lori's mom made her off-the-cuff speech full of crack-up jokes, you were right there to give her the same treatment - it really enhanced her schtick! But besides all the laughs, your reading of the crowd, pacing of the evening (which we didn't agree on originally - but I've since heard from the guests about - and you were right!), and overall personality made it a winner.
So basically - outstanding job, couldn't have asked for better. Please feel free to send anyone who is on the fence about you guys my way - We'd be happy to kick them off that fence for you! <insert sound gag here>
