June has been another very exciting and busy month for the Sid Miller Dance Band! We created wonderful lasting memories for Lauren and Chris, as well as Rikki and Matt, at the beautiful Cescaphe Ballroom . We also performed at the gorgeous Wilmington Country Club for Kate and Chris's wedding. June is always a great month for outdoor weddings, with green trees and fully bloomed flowers creatingly beautiful backdrops for pictures. This June, the Sid Miller Dance Band had the pleasure of performing at two outdoor receptions. One took place at the home of the bride's parents, Dr. and Mrs. Whitenack, and the other took place at the Greenville Country Club . It was quite hot on both occasions, but the band didn't mind.They kept the energy level high and the dance floor crowded!

Aimee and Justin's reception, at the home of Aimee's father, Dr. Steve Whitenack, was upscale to the max. Beka Rendell , (Governor Rendell's daughter-in-law), "the day of" wedding planner, was a pleasure to work with. She was very precise in keeping to our time-line, and we worked in cooperation to make the party the best it could be. Apparently, our joint efforts helped because despite the 90 degree temperature, the guests didn't want us to stop, and we played for 30 minutes beyond our contracted time of five hours. The Whitnack's hired the former chef of Le Bec Fin to be the chef for their daughter's wedding reception, as well as the entire staff of the highly regarded restaurant, Black Fish . Dr. Whitenack was gracious enough to insist that we enjoy the entree that was served to his guests.

The Greenville Country Club and the Wilmington Country Club both share similar qualities of elegance within a  serenly beautiful "country-like" setting. The staff at those venues were very professional and sincerely cared about the success of the wedding reception.
