November 16 was a special "reunion day" for me because I was hopefully going to have the opportunity to share some time with Tina Fey at the studio in Queens, New York where the show 30 Rock is rehearsed and taped. It was a reunion for me because my band performed at Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond's wedding. One of the producers of the show, the great singer, Georgia Harris, invited me. Georgia warned me that Tina gave her permission for me to come to the closed to the public studio, and that Tina would try her best to meet with me, but there was no guarantee that it would happen.

First, I was taken on a tour of the studio and saw the crew building the sets that make up 30 Rock. The entire staff was very friendly and cordial. Alec Baldwin was on hold that day which meant that if they needed him, he would have to come in and Tracey Morgan was off that day as well as the other staff members, but Tina Fey and her new love interest on the show, James Marsden, were there!

When I met Jeff Richmond, he was extremely warm and receptive. He remembered my two female singers by name and also remembered that we performed Signed Sealed Delivered as he and Tina entered the ballroom.
I was nervous and a little worried because I didn't know if I would get to meet Tina Fey. She was rehearsing all day and had an interview with one of the national entertainment shows. The interview had to be done on her 30 minute lunch break, and the Entertainment Tonight production staff wanted as much time as possible with Tina. Although she was extremely busy, she insisted that she would see me and then do the interview. When we met she hugged me and expressed that she'll always remember the fantastic job that we did at her wedding and that she still had friends and relatives who talk to her about the great party that she had on her wedding day.
What a fantastic day!
