Since I had seen your band before at two of my nieces’ weddings, I was not surprised to see the entire wedding reception up on the dance floor the entire night. THANK YOU for making my wedding reception a night I will never forget. I am sure you know that every bride has anxiety over hosting an event for one of the most important days of her life. Thanks to you all, my reception went flawlessly. From the cocktail hour to the introductions and special dances, I could not have envisioned everything going so perfectly.

Ricky and I had always planned on using the original song recording of "I Only Have Eyes For You" by the Flamingos for our first dance because we love their unique sound. I cannot tell you how excited I was to hear that the band would be able to learn it for us and play the song live, and WOW, what a fantastic job you did. You are all SO versatile and professional. Your energy kept the dance floor packed and smiles plastered on people's faces. Everyone was commenting on how wonderful the band was and that they were having such a fantastic time (and that is a HUGE compliment because some of my guests are real critics) Comments like "I've never been to a wedding in all my life where everyone left their dinners on the table so they could be on the dance floor!" and "This is the most fun I've had at a wedding in the last 20 years!" Another couple there had heard you guys play at a couple other places and they said you sounded fantastic every time. I could go on and on.

Bottom line, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. THANK YOU!!

Shavin,

Thank you for making our wedding reception so much fun! The band was great, and the songs you learned were HUGE hits with our guests.  "Feelin' Alright" [by Joe Cocker] was awesome!  Loving Cup [by The Rolling Stones], fantastic!  And ending the night with your version of "Harvest Moon" [by Neil Young] was exactly how I imagined it.  Hearing those songs at our wedding made it so personal for us, and got everyone on the dance floor!  (One of Eric's friends actually screamed when she heard Loving Cup!).

Reading your blog was also a trip! A friend of mine texted me while we were on our honeymoon and we logged on at the hotel to see what you had written...Eric loved being quoted, you guys are great!

Thank you so very much for your hard work, professionalism, and excellent talent.   I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did. I think that our reception was the most fun our family has had together in almost 10 years!

Midnight Hour played at our wedding reception, and numerous guests commented to us about how impressed they were with the breadth of the band's repertoire, from The Black-Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feelin (Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night)" and "Let's Get it Started" to U2's "Beautiful Day". We especially appreciated Shavin working with us to play our favorites ... they did "Livin' on a Prayer" and also learned some new songs for us, including "Eye of the Tiger" and Bon Jovi's "It's My Life". The dance floor was packed with those songs! The music was so great that Ryan (the groom) missed eating his groom's cake because he was dancing so much!

Please give my thanks to Pepper and the entire Midnight Hour Band.  They did a fabulous job for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding on August 1st at the Villanova Conference Center and I can't thank them enough.

The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last, but it was more then that.  They were professional yet personable.  Whoever handles the sound had it just right, you could feel the music but not get blasted out of the room.  They allowed my husband to sing a special song to Marisa and it was perfect.  Every song sounded like the original, a few times I had to look to see it was them and not a recording.  The best time was had by all and we have a life time of happy memories of the night.

Brandywine Valley Talent did it again! The 5th Annual ISES Liberty Awards Gala held on June 2, 2009 was a huge success thanks to you and your great staff at BVT. Thanks for providing the Entertainment for the entire event! From the DJ and Percussion duo by the Poolside during cocktails, to the great sounds of Jazz provided by Lou Lanza and his band throughout the Dinner and Awards to the unbelievable dance party music that Midnight Hour played in Club BLING!! I can’t tell you how many compliments we've received about your band! Everyone keeps telling us what a great time they had at our reception, and how much fun it was. I have to thank Joanne for the beautiful job she did singing our song (the unique version of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" from the movie "Across The Universe"). I had no idea that was her singing at first -- it sounded like the recording!  She was spectacular, and that made it all the more special for us. I can’t wait to relive it when I see the video!

Midnight Hour is Fantastic!  They brought such an atmosphere of fun, excitement, and happiness to our wedding reception.  All of our guests commented on how spectacular the band was, and how they made the event 'above and beyond' any other wedding that they had ever attended.  The musical abilities of the band members and the variety of vocals makes almost any song you would like available for you to use - including the theme song from "The Simpson's," which the band played as we entered the ballroom.  Additionally, Pepper (the band leader) brought a ton of great ideas when we met with him to discuss our reception, and he worked with us to bring creativity into the Father/Daughter dance, our entrance song, the bouquet toss, and our first dance.  They are so much fun to work with and we would use them again in a heartbeat!

Midnight Hour surpassed our expectations! Since we did not have a receiving line at the church, our plan was to get around to as many tables as possible at the reception. Our plan happily failed! I went to a party on Friday night and Midnight Hour was there. They were excellent and really made the night. Often the band is something to have for just some of the entertainment, but not at this party! They really were impressive and the range of music really brought people together. We had Midnight Hour at our Wedding on December 8, 2007, and they were the life of the party! The bandleader, Shavin Duffy, was absolutely great to work with in the weeks leading up to our event. At our wedding reception, from the bridal party being introduced to Christmas music, to our first song (which the band learned for us and did aGREAT job with), to the band learning and playing "Fins", we can't even put in words how pleased we were! We are still getting compliments from everyone! We have to say, the only complaint we have is that the night went way too fast! Wow, what can we say that would do your band justice. I first saw your band online and requested a DVD. We listened to it and loved it.Then we came to the "Showcase of Bands" at the Crowne Plaza and we were hooked. We met Shavin and Tiny and the rest is history.We couldn't wait for the reception. We knew everything was going to be great. We had a fabulous reception site and great band. A great band I said, was I wrong! We had a fantastic band. Idon’t think the dance floor was ever empty, even during dinner. I can't tell you how many quests came up to inquire about your band. We had guests that don't normally dance out on the dance floor. My son said to me that he had to look up at you a number of times to see if you were really singing because is sounded so good, he thought it was a CD. We didn't get a chance to talk with you during or after the reception, but my husband and I wanted to thank you for the outstanding job your band did and how much we enjoyed the music. The band sounded even better than on the DVD and you played just the right mix of music to keep things going. My husband agrees that hiring Midnight Hour was the smartest move we made in planning our wedding.

Dear Shavin, Joanne, and the rest of Midnight Hour- 



Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! There are no words 
to express how grateful we are to you for making our 
wedding such a special event in our lives. I can't 
even tell you how many people came up to me that night 
(and so many times since then) and said, "I love the 
band." "The band is amazing." "I want them to come 
to Michigan to do my wedding." And even, "I'd love to 
see the playlist you gave them. The song selection is 
so perfect. They play EVERYTHING!" And my response 
to all of them was, "You have no idea. They have gone 
above and beyond my expectations in preparation for 
tonight." 



I was the most annoying bride, emailing and calling 
you guys almost daily with requests that were outside 
the realm of usual requests (can you play this song? 
can we dance to this song?). I asked you to learn two 
songs, one for our first dance and one for the 
mother/groom dance, and you did. I wanted to sing to 
my husband in the ceremony, and you made it possible 
by providing me with the backing music and the sound 
system. And perhaps my craziest request, I had 
dreamed of recording a CD for my husband as a wedding 
gift, and not only did Joanne provide me with all of  the backing music for the CD, but Shavin offered to 
try to help me record it as well. 



You obliged every request no questions asked. You 
were so willing to help me make my vision a reality. 
And the night couldn't have been more perfect. You 
guys sounded the best that I'd ever heard you sound, 
and you created this almost palpable energy in the 
room. You could just feel this electricity in the 
air, and it lasted straight down to the very last 
song, at which point the crowd screamed out, "One more 
song! One more song!" and you obliged again. Sam and 
I can't stop talking about it (and neither can our 
friends and family... and it's been 3 weeks since the 
wedding!) 



I feel like it was fate that I went to Let Them Eat 
Cake last year with my parents and heard you guys 
playing. Everyone else there was tasting all the 
wedding cakes, and I'm going, "Who's the band? Mom, I 
love that band!!!" 



I just can't thank you guys enough. You were such a 
pleasure to work with, and you are all so talented at 
what you do. Thank you for making everything so 
wonderful. I can't wait to get the video so I can 
watch it all over again and see all the parts I 
missed. :)

Bravo!!!!

I don't even know where to begin. Ryan and I could not have been more honored to have you play at our wedding. You all came so highly recommended, and you certainly blew the roof off the place. We have been inundated with phone calls and emails from family and friends on how great and FUN you were!! From the song choices, to your accuracy, to your energy, we felt as if you truly put your heart and soul into each and every performance. "Thunder Road" was certainly a highlight of my night... what a performance!!! Just watching you sing was very emotional for me. Each of you deserve alot of credit. For anyone considering the Midnight Hour band, let me tell you that this was the best investment of our entire wedding day.

Midnight Hour was not only professional and organized, but also went above and beyond any of our greatest expectations. The song selection was perfect. From Eminem to Stix and even Frank Sinatra, the music covered the tastes of all generations.

In an effort to make my day special, Midnight Hour learned several new songs which they played during our ceremony. Their rendition of Lady brought me to tears. Midnight Hour was even gracious enough to welcome me into a band member's home so that we could practice a duet for my husband. We will never forget my duet with Shavin.

To this day, our guests still rave about Midnight Hour. I have heard on several occasions, and I must agree that, "this was the best wedding band I have ever heard."

I could not more stronglyrecommend Midnight Hour-- they made our wedding.

During the time we were planning our wedding, I often felt like I had to chase after some of our vendors, but not Midnight Hour. Shavin actually called me periodically throughout the planning process to make sure our plans were all coming together, and that was very comforting. Shavin was so easy to get in touch with, and reassured me that I did not have to worry about the band, that they would take care of everything... and they did!

When the big night arrived, everyone was so impressed with Midnight Hour. My godfather, who has been in the recording industry for decades, would not believe how good the band was. He asked for their card, and later commented to me, 'When he sang Fields of Gold' I had no idea it was not Sting!' Even people who I've never seen dance before were up on the floor. I just cannot explain how good they were. We couldn't have asked for more.

Nothing could have been a better endorsement for the happiness and joy of our wedding day than the enthusiastic performance of those very talented musicians. And they were so nice too. At the end of the night, and now a few months later, their music remains one of the defining elements to a day we will remember with so much happiness for the rest of our lives.

Hiring Midnight Hour was the best investment we made for our wedding. They totally set the fun tone that we wanted for the entire reception and had everyone- from our 4 year old nephew to our 80-something old aunts and uncles- dancing the entire time. Midnight Hour maintained high energy throughout the reception and interacted well with the crowd. They learned three new songs for us, including our first dance, an 80's tune, and a 60's song, and all of them sounded great. They followed all of our wishes exactly, from what we wanted to be called during announcements, to the timeline of the reception, to the list of songs that we did and didn't want them to play (that was very important!), and our guests loved being able to sing some songs with the band. Months later, we continue to get raves from our guests, that they were one of the best bands they've ever heard. Thanks, Midnight Hour, for an awesome time!

You guys were AWESOME!!! I have never been to a wedding where the whole dance floor chanted "one more song" until it was my own. I can't say enough about the band, we couldn't have been happier. Guests asked if we had a recorded wedding song which was "Feels like home" and the truth is, it was the band, they're that good. Thank you so much for everything. Everyone had an amazing time and kept raving about our band. The songs were great, and I never wanted to leave the dance floor. The songs you learned especially for us were also really great (we were actually a little shocked by how well the band learned them!). Also, playing back-up for my brother-in-law's song was perfect. People were coming up all night and saying how much they loved the band, and even compared Midnight Hour to a New York band. Your female singer, Joanne, was fantastic, as all of you were. I had so much fun singing with Tiny! I also appreciated you guys playing La Bamba with my cousin and friend singing- it was great to be able to have our guests involved in all the fun. My parents and in-laws keep saying how impressed they all were with you guys as well as all the guests I have spoken to. You guys really made the wedding, and like I said, I couldn't leave the dance floor. And I must say, I thought it was really cool that the staff was having trouble serving dinner because no one would stop dancing.

We just got back from St. Maarten...............it was fantastic!

The wedding was great! in fact, whenever our wedding is mentioned the first thing that rolls off the tongue of my guests is how AWESOME the band (you guys of course) played. Two of our friends have since tried booking you for their weddings but you already had other engagements on their wedding dates.

Words can't express how you and the group turned the night into "party time"! It was truly more than I could have imagined. My husband, who was originally skeptical of having a band, ended the evening with a different point of view.

To all the brides-to-be out there:

My wedding was April 30, 2005. Hiring Midnight Hour for my wedding reception was one of the best decisions I made.

First, let me tell you if you are looking for an evening to dance and party the night away the Midnight Hour is your band! They had my guests up on their feet all night dancing. It looked like a nigh club with the dance floor packed and no one sitting down! The music will get even those who don't like to dance up and moving (I have pictures of non-dancers at my wedding, and they're dancing! ha!). Their performance is outstanding. I would pay double their price to have them play again!

Second, Shavin is very professional and will go to great lengths to make sure everything is to your liking. He is very accomodating and works hard to make sure you're happy. The band members, like Shavin, strive to make your evening memorable.

Third, their performance was so unbelieveable that I still have people telling me that the band was amazing, and my reception was the best they ever attended. Most of their other comments were added onto their comments about the Midnight Hour (e.g., "oh, and the food was good, too").

I hope you decide to book them because you won't regret it. I was truly happy with their variety of music, energy, and professionalism. Trust me, it's one investment worth adding to your special day.
