Jellyrolling Through Summer: A Golf Club, a Tea Room, an Atrium and More!

The weather is sweltering, the Phillies are coasting, and Philadelphia's hottest special event band is busier than ever!

Back in July, Jellyroll played Corina Sylvia and Mike English's wedding at the Overbrook Golf Club.  The wedding was a little different for Jellyroll because the bride wanted some Latin influenced music for the wedding reception.  Always willing to try something new, Jellyroll learned La Vida es un Carneval by Celia Cruz.  A welcome challenge for the Jellyroll horn section, the guys called a special rehearsal just for that song.

Jellyroll vocalist, Tesa Williams (left), learned and sang the song in Spanish.

This past Friday, Jellyroll played at Atrium at the Curtis Center for Yvana and Daniel's wedding.   Working with the Cescaphe Event Group people makes everything easier for the band and the guests.  Jellyroll keyboardist, Dave Dettra, played the ceremony with violinist, Carol Armstrong.  For their first dance Daniel and Yvana danced to Van Morrison's Into the Mystic.

On Saturday, Jellyroll played the Crystal Tea Room for Liz and Pete's reception.  Besides getting to work with Finley Catering , which is always a pleasure, Jellyroll got to unroll some of the new material they've been working on.  They played LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem for the first time and brought down the house.

Liz and Pete's first dance was Unchained Melody, sang by Jellyroll vocalist, Dondi Allen.  Pete and his mother danced to A Song for Mama by Boyz  2 Men.  A little later in the night, Liz's father jumped on the drums for Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl.

Sunday, Jellyroll played their third wedding of the weekend at Cescaphe Event Group's new venue, Tendenza.   Jellyroll played the opening party, but this was the first wedding they've gotten the chance to play.

For the ceremony, Dave, Carol, and Tesa played L'Chi Lach and Jerusalem of Gold.

Susie and Jim danced to Marry Me by Train for their first dance.  Jellyroll also played their signature Hora Medley and both mothers got crowned later on in the night.

One of the most tender moments of the night was when the groom danced with his daughter to Love Me Tender by Elvis Presley.

Jellyroll is busier than ever making great days even more special, so check back soon for the latest from Jellyroll.
