Better Late Then Never...

Hi folks, sorry for the lack of posts, but the Inspired Emotions roster was in full swing (literally and sometimes figuratively) from the last entry up to and including New Year's Day.

chris_moodOn Tuesday, October 12th Lauren Yeakel of the Yellowstone Club was hosting a promotional dinner in the area. What was she looking for? Someone with the capability to play classical and flamenco styled guitar. Chris Mood of Tres Compadres fits that bill and fit it quite well. He ran out of business cards to hand out...a pleasant problem to have.

The very next Tuesday we sent out our premier string ensemble Stringsations for a unique event at The Union League . I am not allowed to mention the client's name due to contractual obligations, but I can say that they needed Stringsations to play rock acoustically while mixing in classical for both the cocktail and dinner portions of the event. The client is well known world wide and was very happy that they chose Stringsations and BVT.

Custom designing wedding ceremonies is one of the things we love to do here in the IE portion of the building and that's just what we did for the Wright-Fennell ceremony at Hotel DuPont on October 22nd. We paired classical pianist and soprano Charlene Angelini with jazz, contemporary, & classical flutist Tony Gairo. They did a mix of classical pieces such as The Intermezzo from Cavallieria Rusticana, Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, Bach's Arioso, Celebrated Aire, the slow movement of Vivaldi's Winter Concerto, as well as Charlene singing Schubert's Ave Maria. charlene_angelini_1The bride's mother Clara had this to say: "I wanted to thank you for your good work, patience, and suggestions - all 230 guests could not stop talking about the event and especially the music performed by Charlene and company - both were excellent...All I can say...thank you, thank you and thank you again for making my daughter's wedding an event she and others will remember for years to come."

When you want great jazz you really should think of BVT and the Inspired Emotions roster. We have a group of musicians that are second to none when it comes to this great American art form. None on the roster is better than Tom Lawton. Tom did a wedding reception at the Morris House Hotel where the Jessica and Fred (the bride and groom) wanted nothing but standards played throughout. A mix of Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Brad Mehldau, and more. The planner, Karen Peterkin of Queen of Hearts (a great planner and company for special events if I say so...and I do!!!) said, "Jess and Fred were so pleased with their evening, as were their families. It was an absolute pleasure working with you and your crew- your professionalism and your attention to detail was very much appreciated. And you guys sounded so fantastic! I loved the vibe of the entire evening, and your music was key! I will not hesitate to call on your talents again in the future!"

leahschadeOn the same night, Leah Schade, one of our excellent harpists, played the cocktail and dinner portion of a Blend at Aronimink Golf Club . Sandra, the bride's mother wanted something with a light, airy elegance and what does that better than harp? Leah is able to play classical, contemporary, and traditional standards in such a way that they seamlessly blend together till all you hear is the beautiful music she creates.

There is more to come in the next edition, so till next time...
