Starting in the early fall months and continuing into the New Year, Brandywine Valley Talent is very busy servicing many of the top Philadelphia companies and organizations. Holiday gatherings, social events, cocktail hours and large galas are all on the schedule for BVT in the upcoming months. This edition of the "BVT Beat" will highlight some of our favorite seasonal events from last year and give you a sneak peek into what's coming up for the bands and musicians at BVT for this holiday and winter event season!
Last year's winter event season was filled with many great charity events with BVT's exclusive bands. After an unforgettable performance last January, Strangers will return as the musical entertainment for the 5th annual " Lemon Ball," which benefits Alex's Lemonade Stand , a charity that helps fight childhood cancers. The event will take place January 15th, 2011 at the Lowes Philadelphia Hotel and will be a great opportunity for BVT and Strangers to give back to this amazing charity. Also on the agenda for next year is BVT's participation in the "Flyers Wives Carnival ," which supports the " Flyers Wives Fight for Lives " charity fund. This is a special event for BVT every year, as many of the company's exclusive bands perform throughout the Wells Fargo Center. Last year's Carnival featured Contagious, City Rhythm and Midnight Hour on the Main Stage. This year's event will be held February 27th, 2011 and is already turning into a bigger and more exciting event, as Jellyroll is making a very special appearance as the headlining entertainment for the show!
Not only does BVT keep busy with philanthropic events during this time of year, but the company is very proud of the relationships it has developed with many corporate clients throughout the Philadelphia area. A highlight of the 2009 season for BVT and Jellyroll was performing for the American Public Health Association conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center . Over 4,000 guests attended last year, including the Association's Executive Director and Surgeon General, who both were seen dancing to Jellyroll's signature party sounds. The Philadelphia Convention Center is a familiar venue for BVT, as the company is also a proud member of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PCVB ). Jellyroll will also be the featured entertainment for the 2nd straight year at the PCVB's largest member event. A great event ahead for BVT and Jellyroll is their participation in Philadelphia RowHome Magazine's "An Affair to Remember," at the Cescaphe Ballroom on November 4th. This black tie gala and ceremony will honor the magazine's 2010 Blue Sapphire Award Recipients, which include former Philadelphia Eagles coach Dick Vermeil and Emmy winning journalist and former Philadelphia news anchor Larry Kane. This event will give guests a great opportunity to mix and mingle with local celebrities and business owners, hear some great party music from Jellyroll and honor Philadelphia locals giving back to the community. Also keeping busy with corporate clients this season is the "Inspired Emotions" division of BVT. Many corporate clients have booked BVT musicians to provide entertainment for corporate award dinners, cocktail parties, and end of year galas.
The end of the year may be a busy time for charity galas and corporate parties, but BVT still makes it a priority to offer top notch service to its wedding clients. Surprisingly, BVT does many weddings in the colder months. Strangers, one of BVT's exclusive bands, is very familiar with performing in more than just the cold! One of their most memorable December weddings involved the 2nd biggest snowstorm ever to hit Philadelphia. Even with a last minute change of venue, due to the inclement weather, the entire band made it to the wedding on time and was able to celebrate the amazing, yet unpredictable day, with the Bride and Groom and their guests! The wedding was even front page news in the local papers and a top story on the evening news! BVT has a full calendar of weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and private parties throughout the upcoming months and all the bands, especially Strangers, are excited to perform (no matter what Mother Nature throws at them)!
What may be the biggest party night of the year, is also a very popular and very busy evening for BVT and its bands and musicians. Many of BVT's exclusive bands will be all over the Philadelphia region rocking in the New Year at weddings, private country club events, and annual galas. Midnight Hour and Sid Miller Dance Band will be toasting Brides and Grooms as the clocks ring in 2011. Group Therapy will be entertaining clients at a private country club party, and City Rhythm will be leading the countdown at the huge New Year's Eve Gala being held at the Sheraton Society Hill . New Year's Eve also marks the return of Jellyroll to the Concordville Inn to headline their annual "New Year's Eve Gala." This event is open to the public and features great food and drink from the Concordville Inn, as well as a Jellyroll dance party, sure to be remembered way into 2011!
It may be hard to believe, with all these exciting events on the BVT schedule that the end of 2010 is slowly approaching. Don't worry though, the dance parties and fun are not over yet! BVT loves keeping its friends and fans informed on events that are ahead. The BVT website's "Upcoming Events" page always has the latest information on where the company's bands and musicians will be performing as well as open-to-the-public events. Don't forget to check out the individual bands blog to keep up to date on their most recent events and exciting news and pictures. BVT's bands and musicians look forward to closing out 2010 with the top notch service and the great performances you expect from the best!
